How we use AI in this application process

We use an AI tool to help us read and organise applications. It produces a written summary of your application and a score against the criteria for this role.

That output is advisory only. It cannot reject you and it does not decide anything. Every decision about your application is made by a named member of our team, who reads your full application alongside the AI summary.

Avencera Ltd is the data controller. We process your application on the basis of our legitimate interests in recruiting for these roles.

Your application is held in our recruitment system, BambooHR, and on Microsoft Azure servers in the United Kingdom. To produce the summary, the text of your application and your CV are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, in the United States, under contractual safeguards approved for UK data transfers. Anthropic does not use your application to train its models and deletes it within 30 days.

If you are not successful, we delete or anonymise your data six months after the role closes.

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to this processing. You can also ask for your application to be reviewed by a person without reference to the AI summary — we will do that on request, and you do not need to give a reason. Email pmo@avencera.ai.
